Situated in the Eastern Caprivi of Namibia, a peninsula on the northern bank of the Chobe River, Chobe Savanna Lodge overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park’s Puku Flats.
The lodge offers guests a Namibian hideaway for those looking for an exclusive Chobe River experience in an area renowned for its diverse and prolific wildlife.
The Chobe River is home to large herds of elephant, buffalo and hippo, as well as dense concentrations of other wildlife – including the rare puku antelope – which come down to the river’s edge to drink, graze and hunt. Chobe Savanna Lodge is set in a classic African Savanna environment with stunning, sweeping vistas surrounding the lodge. The focal point of the relaxed and informal lodge is a thatched open-sided main building which features a 270 degree view over the Chobe River and beyond to the Chobe National Park.
Facilities include a swimming pool and an open boma area on the banks of the Chobe River. A private and secluded safari experience is guaranteed as Chobe Savanna Lodge accommodates only 24 guests in beautifully furnished thatched chalets, all with private decks, an integrated bedroom and lounge area plus en-suite facilities.
All chalets are air-conditioned and have complimentary in-room mini bars. Although guests are welcome to join in the scheduled game activities, Chobe Savanna Lodge is also a wonderful venue where guests can simply take time out to watch the world go by in one of the most spectacular settings imaginable.
Chobe Savanna Lodge welcomes children of all ages. Families with children under six years old will be required to book private activities at an additional cost, the nature of which may be subject to the discretion of the managers or guides. Children aged15 and under must share accommodation with a parent at all times. No childcare or babysitting service is provided at any of their properties and children remain the responsibility of their parents at all times.
All electricity at the lodge is supplied via Namibia’s national grid, and AC 220V mains power is available 24 hours a day.
Due to its remote and unspoilt location, there are no telephone, fax, email or internet facilities at Chobe Savanna Lodge. However, Lodge Managers are in constant contact with our Chobe Operations Office through whom important messages can be relayed.
