The famous Savuti pride of lions are known for their big kills so it’s no surprise that they were found to be honing their hunting skills during a morning game drive.
On a hot sunny day, Hilton Kotze was able to spot the young lionesses before they retreated into the shade. Spread out at a waterhole, Kotze captured some of the 32 members of the pride sparring while their parents and siblings lay nearby, keeping a watchful eye.
Set in the heart of the Chobe National Park, the Savuti Reserve offers visitors to Botswana a unique safari experience.
